This week I am sharing some work I am currently making in my studio as part of my on going portfolio of felted paintings.
On the Mull of Galloway we have the most amazing gorse, the coconut smell is intoxicating and the vibrancy of the luscious intense yellow of the blooms of the gorse is breathtaking.
Having made several felt paintings, I am now further experimenting this theme with dyed blue faced Leicester locks as well as nepps and silks, speciality dyed merino/silk mixed fibre to create scenes of the fields with the gorse bushes adorning them.
These pictures show the layout prior to the finished felt piece which I plan to felt out tomorrow to make a 10 x 10 inch framed picture.
