MICHELLE JOHNSON – SIMPLY PIDGE
Michelle of ‘Simply Pidge’ has been weaving , spinning and dyeing for 15 years. She has woven on multi shaft looms but now favours the simple, yet more creative saori style. She starts by dyeing fleece in her studio on the South Rhins. This is then spun into art yarns using a spinning wheel. Finally these yarns are combined with others to weave cloth on a hand loom,producing scarves and shawls.
