‘COLOURFUL EARTH 2’
‘COLOURFUL EARTH’ & ‘COLOURFUL EARTH 2’ are recent abstract felt paintings that concentrates on the textural bark and flora in wooded area near where I live. Wet felted pieces have been cut into strips and laid into the background with yarns and the whole composition re-felted, free motion stitched to create a slight 3D effect. You will notice I have stitched into the negative spaces allowing the textures of the felted tree trunks to sit in the foreground.
