These two pieces are made together and can be purchased together as a diptych or sold separately. Wet felted and intensively free motion stitched to create depth and texture, these paintings are made from pre felt pieces, felted merino fibre, viscose, felt pebbles, merino locks, nepps, yarns and mulberry silks to create a 3D effect.
They celebrate all the textures of the woodland area near my home. I have enhanced the colours in an abstract depiction of the way light and shade occur naturally.
These felt paintings are not under glass due to their 3D nature.
